Leadership Reimagined: Making Work More Human

September 19th, 2022 at 11:00am ET/ 5:00pm CET

With the backdrop of a prolonged pandemic, global turmoil and new hybrid working models, what lies ahead for work and workers?

Despite these challenges, there is progress. For example, organizations are taking greater responsibility for their people’s holistic well-being and actively seeking to earn their trust. This means a greater, more urgent focus on fostering employees’ emotional and mental health; creating cultures that build stronger connections among them, no matter where or how they work; and meeting their need for purpose in their work lives.

Leaders have an opportunity to operate from a revised playbook that is now more grounded in people-centered leadership qualities, such as compassion, presence, courage, and vulnerability. With a new emphasis on the “human,” leaders can drive higher levels of engagement and performance in their teams and better deliver on bold solutions for this new era of work.

Moderated by Alyson Shontell, Editor-in-Chief, FORTUNE, who is the first woman to lead the 92-year-old business magazine, and former employee number six at Business Insider.

The panelcast will feature:

  • Ellyn Shook, Chief Leadership and Human Resources Officer, Accenture, who will share how she and her global HR team are creating a more human workplace for the 674,000 people of Accenture.
  • Rasmus Hougaard, Founder and CEO, Potential Project, who will share his perspectives on the changing face of leadership, drawing from his new book from Harvard Business Review Press – Compassionate Leadership: How to Do Hard Things in a Human Way.
