We always want our people to know that they are important. I have a strong belief that the way we are leading this company with mindfulness is the right thing to do. It’s so much in line with who we are and who we want to be. When we can see the benefits from our investment and the positive results not only in business, but in the atmosphere of the company, that’s enough of a proof point for me to know that this really works.

IKEA is one of the most well-known consumer brands in the world. For years, their commitment to the health and happiness of their people has been front and center, an integral part of their business strategy. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in the Spring of 2020, IKEA became a stand-out example of acting with urgency, agility and courage during a time of instability and uncertainty.

IKEA is one of the most well-known consumer brands in the world. For years, their commitment to the health and happiness of their people has been front and center, an integral part of their business strategy. From a single mind training session delivered in Sweden in 2015, Potential Project’s relationship with IKEA has deepened and expanded globally.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in the Spring of 2020, IKEA was one of the first global organizations to take action to help its employees.  And, Potential Project was chosen to help IKEA achieve this goal. First, we delivered a “Leadership in a Crisis” program to IKEA’s top 1000 managers and a “Leading Together” program for its top 21,000 managers. Next, in a first for both IKEA and Potential Project, the company launched “Stronger Everyday” – a global program delivered to its entire workforce of 166,000 co-workers in 17 different languages. This program included Resilience Boosters and Daily Drop-in Sessions to keep co-workers engaged.
